Attorney Biography
Mr.
Taylor graduated from the University of Texas School of Law with honors
in 1998. After law school, he joined Locke, Liddell and Sapp in Houston,
Texas. At that firm, Mr. Taylor represented a host of corporate clients
in a wide variety of civil litigation.
In 2000, Mr. Taylor and his wife, Zoe, moved to Austin. Since moving
to Austin, Mr. Taylor’s practice has emphasized plaintiff’s
litigation involving personal injury, insurance bad faith, securities
fraud, consumer protection and business litigation. He has represented
clients in jury trials, bench trials, and a number of matters submitted
to arbitration.
Mr. Taylor has been actively involved in the Texas Trial Lawyer’s
Association, serving on its statewide Board of Advocates. He is also
a frequent author of Continuing Legal Education articles on insurance
issues and trial tactics. He continues to coach law students at the
University of Texas School of Law on all aspects of trial law.
Prior to law school, Mr. Taylor worked as a legislative aide at the
State Capitol. He worked for State Representative Elton Bomer, who later
became Texas Insurance Commissioner under Governor George W. Bush. He
also worked for State Representative Robert Junell, who is now a United
States District Judge.
Mr. Taylor received his undergraduate degree with highest honors from
the University of Texas at Austin. He has a master’s degree in
public policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
